TCP End-fitting Designed for Oil Gas & Water Supply : Fast & Simple & Convenience

Bonded TCP/RTP composite pipe is one of the most advanced non-metallic composite pipes, which is the most ideal replacement for steel-reinforced thermoplastic pipe(SRTP), and PE pipe. TCP pipe comes up with a solid wall liner, outer layer, laminate layer(reinforced layer) that is fully bonded with liner and outer layer.

The end-fitting, pipe joining solution of TCP is always discussed in the market. Whether end-fittings are applied offshore or onshore, a simple and reliable clamping method can avoid damage to the fiberglass reinforcement layer. The most important advantage of this pipe connection is installation convenience, which means it can be installed anywhere at any point in the field.

Metallic Clamping Pipe Joining - Special Design

High-pressure Oil gas use thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) uses clamping method, the majority component of TCP end-fitting comes up with Flange inner liner bushing, Conical locking sleeve (Inclined core sleeve composed of inclined core iron), Wedge blocking. Some key steps to install end-fitting can be followed :

- First, trim the cross-section of the pipe and clean it up before start install end-fitting.

- Install flange inner liner bushing

Install wedge blocking on the outer layer, The wedge-shaped outer surface can ensure that the pipe ends can be well covered with the pipe after forming. In another hand, The evenly distributed wedge-shaped outer cover ensures uniform force on each side of the TCP after locking.

- Install conical locking sleeve

This type of the end-fitting will not affect the fiberglass reinforced layer, liner, and outer layer. The integrity of the TCP pipe can be guaranteed. The stainless steel made joints are specially designed for onshore, offshore, which can prevent corrosion by the ocean.

Such pipe end fittings will not affect the glass fiber reinforced layer, the inner and outer layers so that the integrity of the pipe can be guaranteed. The joints made of stainless steel are specially designed for the ocean, which can prevent the corrosion of the joints caused by the ocean.

According to our experience, this type of end-fitting solution is one of the most ideals end-fitting for oil gas use fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP/RTP). When we developed such a joining solution, the most important thing is to ensure there’s no potential damage or impact for the reinforced layer (laminate). If other reinforcement materials such as nylon, carbon fiber, etc. for TCP, composite pipe manufacturer can consider steel strip reinforced thermoplastic pipe (SSRTP).

The development of flexible composite pipelines allows us to see more opportunities to use in oil gas, Therefore, it is also the most ideal pipeline for ocean riser. Banline not only provides advanced TCP machinery line but also provide end-fitting, joining design solution to better serve our global client for this newest type of technology.

Electrical Fusion Sleeve

For lower pressure water supply fiberglass TCP pipe, the first important consideration is also protecting the fiberglass reinforcement layer. The electrical fusion sleeve is already well applied to composite pipes.

Electrofusion welding is a form of resistive implant welding used to join pipes. A fitting with implanted metal coils is placed around two ends of pipes to be joined, and current is passed through the coils. Resistive heating of the coils melts small amounts of the pipe and fitting, and upon solidification, a joint is formed. It is most commonly used to join polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) pipes.

The installation principle is to heat two surfaces at a certain temperature, then use enough force to fuse them. The tensile and pressure performance becomes as strong as the pipe itself, or stronger than the pipe, in another hand, this type of joining method is absolute leakage proof.

It shows water supply-lower pressure use fiberglass thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) have significant advantages :

- Simple process capable of producing consistent joints

- Process is entirely contained, reducing the risk of joint contamination

- Process allows repair without the need to remove pipes

Banline provides the entire solution for fiberglass TCP/RTP machinery, end-fitting,standard-setting for a global client.
